Streaming live sports isn't as easy as streaming ... pretty much everything else. In this video, Craig walks through the basics of how to get your fix of live sports, whether you watch baseball, football, basketball, soccer, or hockey, and whether you live right by your favorite team or 12 states away. The gist is this: in order to stream live sports, you can either use an out-of-market streaming service like MLB.tv or NBA League Pass, or you can sign up for a live TV streaming service like YouTube TV or Hulu Live to get access to your local games. Either way, you'll get the basics of how streaming sports works as a cord cutter.

NFL League Pass is great for football fans. You can watch EVERY game of the season. However, you do have to wait a few hours, or even the next day, to watch some games. But they do offer a condensed version. That's where they skip the in in between parts commentary and commercials. This shortens the time to 45 minute for an entire game. This allows the viewer to watch all the plays in the same amount of time of a half.

The Hulu + Live TV ad should lacks most of the Big sports Network but your locals and ESPN still Supports those sports that are really live!

I live in the Detroit area and really like my YouTube TV but currently they do not provide local sports programming due to an ongoing cost battle with Bally Sports Network. Will have to switch providers if not resolved

I only use a streaming TV service during football season. Last year I used Vidgo and will use them again this year. They carry the sports networks that have both NFL and College Football games (including the conference networks).

How can you forget to mention that AT&T TV is the only service that provides all the RSN’s? That’s extremely important when talking about sports. Otherwise, great video.

So really, there’s no TRUE way of watching ALL your areas local teams with one service? or even two? Jesus. They want us all to spend an absurd amount of money just keeping track of one sport… for those like me that love them all, this all has been extremely convoluted.

NFL is one of the only things I can watch without streaming at all. Games are on broadcast TV every Sunday all day, including my local team. NFL and Golf is about all I CAN watch without a subscription to something.

I live in Baltimore and yes I cut the cord. I would love to be able to watch the new and upcoming young Oriole players, but the worse owners in baseball own the network and since I cut the cord I’m unable to watch my home team play. And I refuse to pay for Direct TV streaming app.

There are MANY Americans living outside the U.S. all over the world, and many of these services and apps don't work without a VPN.
