this one is reminiscent of mass effect 1's soundtrack. ME1's soundtrack was the most "scifi" and techno sounding out of the 3 games. i always preferred it.

Shepard is back, and that blur of cloaked movement darting between pillars, sniping Cerberus shock troops and stabbing them with an omniblade...that legend is still alive and fighting before their very eyes.

I usually despise opening missions in RPG's (VANCOUVER WAS TUTORIAL LEVEL) since I reroll hundreds of times, but this one never got old or stale. That's some amazing level design right there.

3:05, this is the best action theme in any video game I've ever played.

The way the slow synth swells at 3:05 is wonderful. The best part is how the enemies and layout in this chapter are meant to slow you down. The frantic beat combined with the synth adds a lot to the tension, especially since the section proceeding it blares with the Reaper-like horns.
