today we talk about geckos escaping. it happens. through your geckos life you will probably experince your gecko escaping at least once. however once a gecko gets out for more then a week things can go bad so i wanted to give some helpful info on how to help get your gecko back on track!

My Leo escaped from her basement viv some 10 years ago. Didn't find her for over a year! I suspect that she was catching spiders and centipedes, as it was a dank unfinished basement. I also had a small leak in my heating system, and there was a constant 2' diameter puddle that she could drink from. One day I was moving some boxes, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw something move under the radiator. I took a peek under the rad, and there she was! She looked ok, and now she's 16 years old!😊

One time my cat knocked over my tub with my beautiful sweet super dal baby she was one in 1 million!!!! I literally felt like my world was crashing down and I felt so sad for her like I let her down. I prayed so hard that she didn’t suffer then that night I came home, and I had a feeling to turn my flash on and she was looking at me on the windowsill. My gargoyle gecko is an escape artist. She watches you as you open the door and times her jump. She escaped the one time and I emptied out my bookcase to get her from behind just for her to jump again and end up under a pile of plushies.

Funny i actually just found a tokay that was missing for 7 months, she looked like crap very skinny but starting to look better now after a couple weeks of dusted crickets and Horn worms, funniest part was i had a custom tank and i was actually cleaning out to give to a friend, i had one of the logs sitting next to the tank for months and she was just chilling out on log. Its been getting cold up here so i cant believe she survived.

Great video Dakota. You can also use soaked paper towel in a deli cup to rehydrate them. If you use a sprayer, there will also be droplets on the sides of the container for them to lick. There would also be less risk for drowning, for less experienced keepers.

Great video. My ball python pushed his screen top off (when i tried seeing how he would do in a tank) and was out hiding in a different tank on the ground (its the tank i put my pet rats to sleep in when they are sick/old.) I hasn't put any rat to sleep in about a year, but im guessing he still could tell they were there at one point lol. The tank i had him in had a lock on it but somehow it fell off. So after that i decided to put him back into a tub til i finish building his 4×2×2 (i have 2 i built for bearded dragons but im going to repurpose them into enclosures for 2 of my snakes. Then build a few more for the other snakes along with a rack system for baby snakes and geckos.)

I just lost my crested gecko! I was feeding him, he shot out of his enclosure and I caught him. Then he DROPPED HIS TAIL!. We just moved in here, there is literally stuff everywhere. I can't find him and to me, he's hurt. His tail was flopping around on the floor! The "don't panic" is out the door! I do not know what to do. And this place is a disaster. 😢😭 btw, he absolutely does not want to be held. I've never been able to touch him in 6 years.

My leachie escaped today. Its been 11 hours and uve yet to stop crying. Dusted the door ways with flour. Left her heating lamp on low and some food and water on top of her tank just incase. I looked EVERYWHERE in the house about 3 times with no luck. Hopefully my baby turns up soon.

So just 20 minutes ago I'm chillin, it's 1am and I hear my little brother scream and fall hard in the bathroom and run into his room...I was super confused but ignored it only to get a text 3 minutes later from him saying "you lizard is in the bathroom and it jumped on me I freaked out and almost stepped on it!" A 4g juvenile crestie got out of his tub. It was my fault. He was on the lamb for 3-4 weeks. I didn’t really look for him just figured he would show up one day and boy did he ever. The day I was joking he would be 50g and jump at my 17 year old daughters face is when we would find him, he scared the crap outta me when I went into my closet and he was sleeping at the very bottom hidden in a box I just happened to go into.

Got a question I know with certain species of snake they like to be up higher certain species like to be down lower is that the same thing with geckos do they like to be up higher places or more so lower places I don't know because I am house setting for a friend and I think the gecko might have escaped and I think it's a crusted gecko
