Definition of 'impetsonation':

"An impersonator is someone who imitates or copies the behavior or actions of another."

The Police employee clearly and correctly stated that he wasn't a police officer.

No moral or other stain upon his character is inferred.

However, from a visual perspective, (and remember, I can often easily spot rank of uniform etc) he was driving a marked police vehicle and dressed in a uniform matching closely to that of a serving warranted officer.

I clearly (even up close) thought he was a police officer and he doesn't have to actually speak to impersonate (to act and look like an officer).

Might not be obvious why these things matters but Wayne Couzens and other officers of that ilk operate in such areas of public confusion.

Once again, there is no inference of personal wrongdoing on the part of the obviously honest man featured in the video.

As a solution:

Greater Manchester Police would be better providing an alternate uniform so we are not confused about who is, who isn't and exactly what powers each official and unofficial officials have.
