They need to deeply discount some of the expansions too, 40 per is just way too steep. I like the game, and there is plenty to do in vanilla, but I want a few expacs but can't afford $120 for the ones I want.

Honestly I think the sims being free is going to be HUGE for the CC community as well bc it’s an entirely new wave of people that can come in and create I’m so excited for the new wave of people that come into the game and help create amazing things

i bought the game for $40 in 2016, and i have over 5000 hours in the game. i think it’s fair to say i’ve gotten my moneys worth! this is an exciting opportunity for the sims community to grow, and i can’t wait!

I’m so happy that the sims 4 is going to be free. Of course I feel like waisted money for buying sims (twice💀) but one of my friends wanted to buy the game for so long. He has really strict parents that doesn’t allow him buy anything so I used to share my screen and “play” with him together but now he can download it without buying and I can teach him how to play. Finally!!! I’m so happy of this decision and also the fact that I will get free items

Im glad to see people understanding how this is a benefit, unfortunately if you just recently bought it, that sucks, but stuff happens. The amount of times I bought a game and then a little later it became free or super discounted, I couldnt count on my 10 fingers. It happens. This should be a positive step for the Sims

this is such a good thing, I saw people complaining on Twitter that they brought it for $60 on release, and so why should it be free now? and I'm just thinking, $60 8 years ago is like $7.50 a year, and thats if you only play it once! I have 5600 hours in this game and so the base game is like $0.01 per hour, imo that's well worth the money, plus you get a free kit!

I think the base game being free is a great thing! Especially now - idk about other countries, but we're heading into a pretty serious cost-of-living crisis in the UK right now and it's going to be a tough winter for a lot of people, so anything that can provide a bit of joy and escapism is very welcome

The one little thing I miss in the sims 4 is not having a messy bed. I remember always having to pick the perfectionist trait for them to make the bed. But I love the idea of sims not making the bed all the time but then clicking on the bed to make the bed. Just gives me satisfaction 😆
