How to Reset PS5 Games & Delete Game Progress (Easy Method)

Do you want to know how to reset PS5 games and delete game progress. This is really easy to do, go to settings, then select saved data and game app settings. Then choose the PS5 or PS4. Choose the game and delete it off the console storage and also delete tie saved data off the cloud storage, or the next time you launch the game. Does this also delete trophies? Lets say I have a Spiderman game but I want to start the game from scratch with earning trophies for a livestream. The game was previously played by my partner's son so he already got in some trophies.

I've deleted my data a dozen times for GT7 and it brings it back every time. Even deleted data then restart the console doesn't permanently delete the data which is ridiculous. On my XBSX this is simple and easy.

I have two PS4 titles I want to reset, and for PS4 you can select different files. It’s to my understanding that the file “Game Progression” is the one you want to delete to reset the career mode or story mode.
The first one, is a Title where the servers are down, so if I erase any DLCs, I won’t be able to get them again.
The second one I a game where I have custom gear, which you do outside of the career mode, and I don’t want to lose this gear.
Is it ok to delete just the “Game Progression” file or should I do this in any other way?
