I remember there was a time that I couldn’t hardly sing this song because I felt like I was lying. There WERE other things I wanted. My car had been repossessed, I had been evicted, and I had an implant rupture in my chest. There were things that I NEEDED in the natural so bad. But through tears I forced myself to still sing and give Jesus the praise he deserved despite my circumstances. Miraculously a supernatural peace came upon me followed by the wisdom to change many of the other circumstances AND to realize that he is truly ALL I NEED.

Sir, you have an anointing that can't be hidden. Your songs reinvented praise and worship in the church that crossed cultural barriers. How many churches sing, " I am a Friend of God" or "Alpha and Omega?" Your voice is needed in the body of Christ. Keep singing for the glory of God. I recently reintroduced myself to "Moving Forward" and it hit so differently now. What doesn't kill you make you stronger. Sir, you are a legend in gospel music; you did what Andre Crouch did for the church. I just want to encourage you to keep moving forward.
