I always thought in order to please God that you would always have to be in His word 24/7 or in constant prayer for hours and hours, until one day i came across 1 Corinthians 10:31
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
Now I know I can live glorifying and pleasing God in other ways!! This verse set me free from being miserable all the time (I’m young and i like to enjoy doing other things as well but always feeling like i had to be in the word and prayer i could not do other things that I enjoy) i always felt the need to turn every thing down even turning down hanging out with family and visiting my family. I know that we do have to turn things down at times and can’t always do what we want but i honestly aloud myself to do nothing all day and i recognized by seeing this verse, i need to help my parents, i need to be a good example for my little sister and show what the gospel says and what the life of a child of God is like, i needed to glorify God in other ways, and this verse 1 Corinthians 10:31 set me free

Draw near to them and let them feel your presence. Open their eyes, ears, and hearts to you. Help them have the discernment to hear your voice as you lead them in their next steps. Speak to them as they read your word and bring verses of encouragement and comfort to their attention. I pray that you will calm any fear or anxiety they may be feeling.
