Clarification for Setting 3 (120HZ Option):

1. Only affects "CINEMATIC MODE"

2. This may already be setup correctly for some of you. I'm still not quite sure why it is for some and not for others.

3. That leads me to the main point: this does not depend on if you have a 120HZ or 60HZ screen connected. I suspected it would automatically be enabled on a 120HZ screen, so tested with an LG CX and that was not the case. Many users are seeing it not setup correctly on both 120HZ and 60HZ panels, whilst many are seeing it setup correctly on both as well. I have no idea what factor changes how it is setup, but it is not influenced by the refresh rate of the screen you are connected to.

I will update this comment with more information as I get it.

Another tip, turn the brightness down on the headset it's default is at 100 i find having it between 65-70 gets rid of the weird hazing look

Extremely useful. I tried my headset yesterday and would have never thought of changing these settings. Thanks a lot.

I should point out the 120hz setting is specifically for CINEMATIC MODE, meaning not native VR games, but specifically when playing a normal non-VR game within VR mode - some people in the comments seem confused about it

FYI I DID NOT have to disable the automatic 120hz in display settings. My TV was off so this leads me to believe having a display connected and turned on is what greys out this option.

Thanks for these tips, PSVR2 is my first VR kit so this was very helpful, I just need to get over the motion sickness so I can enjoy the games for more than 10-20 minutes 😅

Still not sure why the function button doesn't do both. It should be hold to enter passthrough display mode and tap to mute the mic.

Setting number 3 is why YouTube was created, I would be pissed playing GT7 in 60fps! Thank you brother, can’t wait to pick my psvr2 in the morning.

Good job figuring out setting 3. That is very helpful to know when I get the headset in the near future.

Thank you very much for this video 🙏 I think a lot of people don't know about these tips.
I am waiting for my psvr2 now. Maybe tomorrow or Saturday 😊 sorry for my English I'm French.

It's worth noting that tip 1 about adding the frame could be harmful for those of us using OLEDs, especially since it seems to be completely static.

Setting three must be a bug. Having to disable the 120hz output doesn't make any sense unless it has something to do with trying to output TWO 120hz signals at the same time.

120HZ greyed out only means you're set up on system default because you're already connected to a 120Hz TV or monitor. The option is only there for people who connect their PSVR2 to a PS5 that is hooked to a 60HZ TV. No need to de-activate it from AUTO if you're on a 120Hz TV.

Random advice but wearing a handkerchief really helped not only with the sweat on the forehead but it also made the device fit a little bit better.

Great info on the 120hz mode! I was also so confused by that, thanks for showing me how to enable it.

If you read the description, it enables 120hz on the headset *_IF_* your display doesn't support it. If your display _does_ support it, there is no need for the setting, hence why it's greyed out.

Another thing it affects that is blurry is the screen size of the vr. If you lower it it looks better i notice when i was doing some tweaks on it on the settings.
