These biographies for the founding fathers are amazing. I hope he does this for a lot of important thought leaders of freedom in history

Rubin is one of the best interviewers around. He does him homework and asks insightful questions. ABC CBS and NBC forgot how to do this.

This is absolutely fascinating. A couple years ago, I did a 23 & me and found out that I'm a descendant of Sam Adams, his cousin. Since then, I've inherited a journal taking place during the war. He mentions John a few times, but never really described him. Thank you for helping me learn more about my family

As a brit I am liking this series - i think you should try to bridge the atlantic though and get some good limeys to accompany your yank guests. David Starkey would give you a great show on Monarchy and Magna Carta, and have a look around - i made suggestions before

The timing of this series is perfect for me. In all the chaos of debate this last week or lack there of. I started relearning about the founders myself. Thanks Dave!

I've watched the previous interviews and this was the best so far. When I was an undergraduate I remember telling one of my professors that I started my studies a fan of Jefferson and emerged a larger supporter of Adams. I think it's important for anyone who wants to understand the relationship between the two men to exam their views on the French Revolution and the nature of constitutional government. I wish the professor had gone into the role the XYZ affair played in the struggle between France and the U.S. at that time but outside of that it was a great interview.

i love pres. john adams.. I have seen stories, biographies etc... on him.. He was a stubborn, determine, god-fearing man, but he LOVED this country, did everything in his power to make it right... He defended the british knowing he would get the blasphemy from it... and if it wasn't for him and his stubborness, we wouldn't gotten our independence when we did.. GOD BLESS OUR 2ND PRESIDENT .... John Adams...

I cannot think of John Adams without first thinking of Benjamin Franklin's assessment of him: "Always an honest man, often a great one, but sometimes absolutely mad".

Love that you highlighted John Adams. He is a really really under appreciated president and founding father. I dont think a single other did as much for the revolution save arguably Washington. But Adams was involved before Washington came onto the scene and long after he died. He deserves a memorial in DC right next to Washington and Jefferson.

"When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more." - John Adams

"The press is the hired agent of a monied system, and set up for no other purpose than to tell lies where their interests are involved. One can trust nobody and nothing." - Henry Brooks Adams (1838-1918) Letters of Henry Adams

I'm really enjoying this video series Dave, thanks! More content in this vein in the future would be cool.

Really loving this. I was politically conscious from 13-21, before dropping it from my life. 9 years later, I'm taking it in with a more discerning ear and engaged mind. These segments have made politics, philosophy, and history refreshing and relevant!

John Adams by far has one of the most inspiring stories of all the founding fathers. He was one persistent guy.

Dave, thanks so much for doing this series! Its so interesting, and I think it is such a shame that most people do not know much about our founding fathers. This show has allowed for great info to be distributed in an easy to consumer manner.

C. Bradley Thompson is great. Some of his other online highlights for those interested are a FEE lecture "Why Marxism—Evil Laid Bare", a podcast with Yaron Brook on school shootings and progressive education, and a four hour course "American Slavery, American Freedom."
