The left-handed, aka Lefty population, have many challenges compared to things right-handed people take for granted. Everyday objects like can openers, zippers, writing, scissors, 3-ring binders, video game joysticks, can cause issues and serious struggles for these talented, creative individuals.
Here are just a few of the common issues that the left-handed population can understand and relate to.

I’m leftie. Growing up, I never gave a thought to the idea that some things were built for right handed people. Nobody ever told me. I just did the best I could. I got some degree of ambidextrousness from this, as a result.

why do left handed items are more expensive than right handed items? I'm human just like you I don't have to pay more money just to be comfortable using scissors or other things.

Just goes to show that we lefties are more adaptable and better problem solvers to live in a right handed world, we are also more forgiving due to the discrimination we endure.

I’m left handed and proud of it. I use everyday items meant for right handed in my right hand, though except cutting with knives and scissors. I use the mouse and game controls with no bother - feels so natural to use left hand for shortcuts when typing. I’m a visual person, I prefer drawing rather than writing. I shake hands with right hand. Rarely I make a mistake and unknowingly reach with my left hand or hug opposite direction - heck I’m still not entirely sure with side to hug correctly.

I am left handed and when I write with a pencil the bottom of my hand is smeared with the grey pencil stuff

I'm left handed and most of these aren't really a "left handed struggle." Most lefties have learned how to adapt and can use stuff with their right hand mainly because we don't have any other option. I think out of 21 of these only 2 or 3 are real issues for lefties.

In my primary school (4–11) we had red scissors for righties, blue for lefties... at 22 I’ve only realised they where the exact same thing!! The scissors were totally symmetrical!! Schools in scotland use colour to discriminate:)

I'm a lefty who cuts hair it sucks because all the right handed scissors come in different pretty colors and have dragons on them, the lefty scissors look like I'm performing surgery I have found some color scissors for lefty and there actually MORE EXPENSIVE! I've met lefty stylists who just learned to cut right handed but I REFUSE!! IM A TRUE LEFTY!

This is how I learned how to tie a neck tie. Stepdad faced a mirror and I was able to mimic him vs. trying to flip everything around.

The word meaning use of both hands is video. When I was a kid in grammar school we had desks not the right handed only chairs with a writing surface connected.
