I'm a lefty and at Open House in 2nd grade I overheard the teacher tell my dad that she was going to get me to switch hands. I KNEW that wasn't gonna happen! My dad was a lefthanded pediatrician and rather proud of his lefthandedness. Today I am often complimented on my nice manuscript and cursive handwriting.

What has been awful for me is being taught by the school system and environment to make my right side dominant causing huge issues like learning problems, stuttering, clumsy ness and many more issues. Not to mention all of the things those things brought to the table. I was in a shock when i found out i was lefthanded for all of these years and that it caused me such hardship

I’m left-handed but I also use my right hand. Not as if I can do everything with both hands. It switches back and forth… For example I eat and write with my left hand only, everything else is right handed. I guess this makes me ambidextrous.

One thing I remember in my childhood growing up which was a little strange. Whenever I was asked to go and write on the chalkboard, I always used my right hand. Inevitably, my teacher would comment “Sophia, aren’t you left-handed?” I was in fifth grade when my teacher noticed. I had actually not noticed it all, just seemed natural. However, such as swinging a bat, or throwing a ball, I use my right-hand.

Iam a proud lefty, because I went through a lot of torture in my childhood at school and home in Africa i decided to stand out for my sisters and brothers who are still being tortured until today even being discriminated that they are satanic. May I be more blessed financially so I can support more and more young lefties.

I just have to ask, do the wire spirals on tablets bother anyone else when they are on the left side?! I turn them the opposite direction and write on the back side of the pages.

I am left-handed, however, I have learned to be ambidextrous. I play classical guitar, bass, and ukulele right-handed, am able to write fluent cursive with both hands. Back in junior high a few years ago, I would draw using both hands equally in my art class. My journey started out of curiosity when I was a little kid. I wanted to know what it felt like to be right-handed being the fact I am the only lefty in my family. So, I began using my non dominant hand more and more....today, using either hand for any task is second nature

Actually, left-handed people have to adapt to a right handed world for obvious reasons.
As a result, I can do most things with both hands well.
Scissors, pens and pencils, tools, sports, equipment, etc. etc. etc.

now there are lot of things specially made for lefties. When i was ambidextrous. Though i guess all lefties must face issues like smudges on their hand. Some of these facts like nails growing faster and i too have good hearing power. THANKS

This is kinda realoy offensive, right handed people seem to be so great and have no issues but just cause we're left handed we're suddenly prone to death. Gosh.
