When the U.S. fired on Guam, the Spanish governor thought the U.S. Navy was saluting the Spanish flag. He did not even know the U.S. was at war with Spain until he was made a prisoner of the U.S.A. Despite the USS Charleston firing 13 shells at Guam's fortifications, no one was killed or injured, with all 54 Spanish surrendering peacefully to U.S. troops.

I believe the British "casualty" from the Anglo-Zanzibar War was a crew member on one of the ships accidentally dropping a shell on his foot
Edit: I want to come back to this comment and quickly further state the the man lived.

As a Filipino fan of the channel, the Spanish-American War is one of my favorite wars because of the Battle of Manila Bay as mentioned. I know the Americans were victorious because of their superior fleet, but I prefer the ships of the Spanish fleet. Though all of them are old, they're so interesting to know what ships that the Philippines' first colonizer had anchored at Manila Bay.

Colin Powell said in an interview on a Gulf War documentary something like "There's no such thing as a fair war, I'm a soldier, not a boxer"
He's right, even when you go with overwhelming firepower it's not a guarantee of victory. The other side can put an unexpected fight, you never know

The Russian invasion of Ukraine should not have been a fair fight, but Russia's tactics sucked and didn't plan properly, so here we are.

About Operation Urgent Fury, one of my friends who was a former CH-53 pilot was a part of the campaign. He even sent me a photo of a CH-46 lifting from the assault ship based near the island.

The 1898 Battle of Manila Bay is so one-sided, we often label it in our history as a "mock battle"

3:00 the engagement was of course more than 38 minutes long . That was when threats were acted on. However taking over and occupying is an act of war. This is why I would say the football or 100 hours war is the best example as it’s got more casualties so there was actually an engagement but also proper declarations of war from opposing governments

In terms of Iraqi missiles bound for Israel being taken out that was also Australian SAS soldiers driving around in 4WDs taking out those installations. Not just yanks.
