We give Amy Cuddy 30 seconds to describe power poses, and she tells us we should all stand like Wonder Woman.

Amy Cuddy is a Social Psychologist and Associate Professor at the Harvard Business School. She studies body language and how it impacts our sense of power and confidence. She also made one of the most watched TED Talks in the history of forever and was named one of Time magazines "Game Changers." When she takes off her lab coat, Amy puts on her dance shoes because, just like when she was a little girl, she simply "can't not dance."

Amy, thank you for your work in the field. It is amazing to have evidence to support how a pose can make you feel!

From Wikipedia: "Joseph Cesario, an associate professor of psychology at Michigan State University, who co-edits Comprehensive Results in Social Psychology, arranged a special issue on power posing that published in June 2017; the issue included eleven new studies, along with a meta-analyses, which found that the effect of power posing on power behaviors was not The published studies were designed to definitively answer whether the power-posing hypothesis was real and included high quality research features like pre-registration of endpoints.[25] Carney co-authored the introduction to the issue, and noted that while the meta-analysis failed to find any effect in power behaviors, it did find a small effect in a feeling of power; she also wrote that the studies could not resolve whether the effect on a feeling of power was only an experimental artifact.[25] In a 2019 review of all prior power posing research Marcus Crede, an Associate Professor of Psychology at Iowa State University noted that no study had ever found that power poses resulted in higher feelings of power than a normal pose. Crede noted that almost all prior research had only compared power poses to contractive poses like slouching but had failed to include a normal pose as a control group. The few studies that had compared a power pose to a normal pose found no effect of power poses.[26]"

I remember I had a job that MADE us do power poses. I thought it was the STUPIDEST thing to do and HATED it when they made us do it. I quit the company right before the company went bankrupt and out of business lol

I first heard of you from your Ted Talk. Just finished your book. Now Im looking for as many Power Poses as I can find. I did notice one difference between you and the Wonder Women pose. Wonder Woman has her hands in fists on her hips. Could that little difference influence the pose in any way?

masculine. have you looked into Feminine masculine Polarity ? women increasingly inhabiting the masculine pole isn’t best. A woman’s femininity is all the power she needs but in these confused times she has to unlearn a lot and re-inhabit the innocent and pure part of her soul

if i see someone in my daily life posing with these power poses i see them as a rude person these are not normal and so stupid also not natural. Just be yourself do something read book or go to gym it makes you more powerfull person and you can be normally powerfull and you can pose naturally and it doesn't seem stupid.
