I finished reading it yesterday and the plot twist was SO UNEXPECTED - coming from someone who always tries to guess what happens next and guess the unexpected, I did not think that was coming !!!! I had to stop myself from skipping pages while reading because of how eager I was to know what’ll happen next. Colleen Hoover is amaaazing.

Just finished this book! I almost didn't finish it because I was so disturbed by the "autobiography."

The supposed twist surprised me initially but by the time I finished reading the letter I can't help but ask “Is that it? That's supposed to blow me away?”. What scared me were the crazy scenes in between so it did live up to the hype of being a creepy read. Hoover has great potential in writing thriller but I hope she improves on her formula in writing for that genre.

Been in a reading slump for over a year…randomly picked this book and so happy I did! Definitely hope she continues writing thrillers. I loved this one and finished it in less than two days. No dry moments and had to keep myself away to actual sleep instead of staying up till 2am lol

Tbh i was thinking about Jeremy being responsible for Verity's car crash, yet we don't really know if the final letter was the truth or just another manipulation technique...insane

This was the most disturbing book ever and it was so unexpected having read her other books that were no where near as dark! Also you should definitely add November 9 to your TBR

You've quickly become my fave book tuber to watch. You are kind enough to not rip books apart and yet somehow manage to pass fair judgement on a book--in that you are kind enough to acknowledge writing as intellectual labor and yet also review it objectively and I really appreciate you. Thanks for being down to earth yourself. Ordered verity and too late thanks to you.

What about the cheek scar
Did she not try to abort her twins ?
I don't know if to consider this book a cliffhanger or just a book with many loopholes!?

From ur review of "It ends with us", you mentioned "Verity" there and I was like..."Hey! I gotta try this too". And I found it magnanimously written, like the balance used by hoover for writing both the "autobiography" and this book itself must have required a mind like Verity itself. Hands down, the best thriller I had ever read and all thanks to your amazing style of briefing up. I can say for sure, however, I'm gonna stay in bed for the next couple of hours trying to process the

I was the same! I was never interested bc I thought she was strictly romance. But Verity was on Kindle Unlimited so I figured I’d give it a try. And I’m so glad I did! I loved this book. I love unlikeable characters haha

I just read this book and I’m wondering what took me so long to get to it. No words and still shook after finishing it. Didn’t help that I was home alone at night imagining Verity in the hall! Twisted nightmares!

I finished it last night. It is just mind blowing. I always felt a soft spot for Verity from the very beginning and literally hated Lowen all the time. Having read one of Colleen's book, I was waiting for a plot twist like may be it is all a story too or something but that twist with Jeremy knowing it all along and attempted murder and finally Lowen helping? One crazy lady who messed up for the reason of wanting Jeremy and in the end not showing that envelope to Jeremy? It's just my point of view though. I am very much interested in the spoiler video from you explaining how you felt all along. I like the ending where it is left up to the reader to decide which story to pick.

**WARNING SPOILERS**

This book is crazy read it today in 1 sitting here are some questions I have :

1. If verity wanted those baby’s dead why did she try so hard to abort them herself? She could have easily got an abortion without Jeremy knowing

2. If the letter is true and she really loved her children where did the scar on one of the twins come from ?

3. Why would Jeremy protect and look after verity for so long if he suspected her of murdering Harper surely he would have just contacted the police?

4. Why did Verity not give life jackets to both Crew and Harper before going out on the lake (especially 6 months after losing a daughter you would think she would be more careful) and why just tell Crew to take a deep breath and save him first?

5. Why did Lowen bite the exact spot Verity did on the headboard? Found this part really weird, was that Lowens weird way of trying to show Verity she has her life now?

6. Why would verity write the letter just after she heard lowen and Jeremy doing it? Makes me think it was probably out of obsession for Jeremy jealousy of his relationship with lowen and a coverup for the autobiography

7. Why did verity keep the knife under the floorboard? Was she worried jeremy would try to hurt her ? or was she planning on killing lowen or Jeremy when she got the chance? Why were the pictures of the girls there too if she never really cared about them?

8. If the manuscript is true why does crew sit with verity most days? Why did he bite down on the knife and cut his hand did verity teach him to do this ?

9. I found the scene with April awkward when she pulled Lowen aside and asked her to watch what she was saying infront of Verity? Did April know she was listening ?

10. Did verity write the letter intentionally knowing Lowen would find it first to torture her for the rest of her life for stealing her husband away? (Lowen would live the rest of her life not knowing the truth)

11. Lowen sets up the baby monitor in Veritys room, did she ever switch it off? Crew might have been watching and witnessed his mother’s murder

I have sooo many more questions but this book is creepy AF , I think I am going more towards the manuscript being true
