I’m team mixture of manuscript and letter. I believe both verity and jeremy are awful and murderers. Verity did everything in the manuscript (after all it’s too real for it to be just antagonistic writing plus writing those while mourning for your kid?) although i also believe jeremy had tried to murder verity when he found out about the manuscript as evident from his capability to murder someone (bonus chapter) plus the fact that his first response to lowen was “where did you find this” instead of “what is this”

as much as i am team manuscript...i feel like jeremy was the real villain...because of how easily he killed a woman in the bonus chapter...
what if he wanted to get rid of verity but also at the same time wanted another woman- lowen specifically for some reason
also it felt weird to me that he read lowen's books but not verity's..

The scar on chastins face
The way she tried to choke one of those girls when they were infants ( i dont remember her mentioning it in the letter tho)
And the way she discribe how she tried to abort her child + the way she told she tried to fell off the stair
*BUT*
at the same time i think Jeremy was the REAL VILLAIN cus DUDE THE WAY HE TOOK JUST MARE MINUTES TO KILL VERITY!!? And how he used to read loran's book instead of verity and he asked *where did you find this* instead of *what is this*

although I would like for Lowen and Jeremy to live happy without regret that they killed an innocent woman I think it's true what Verity wrote at the end.. her name means truth in latin myb that has a meaning to this story. However u can't write something like that as a mother if u haven't actually thought of those things

Unpopular opinion but I think Jeremy fell in love with the character Lowen wrote in her book like Corey did as she mentioned in the beginning of the book that’s why he decided to continue Verity’s series with Lowen so that he could meet her
That’s screwed I loved Jeremy but I think there is something wrong with him that we missed

Tbh..i think the manuscript was real because if she did write the letter to clear all the misunderstanding why would she even hide it inside one of the wooden tiles. Clearly the script is real...she probably wrote that letter...so that even if anyone finds it.. then will think that..she was innocent

Unpopular opinion: verity wasn’t even that scary. The bonus chapters were literally the scariest part of the book. It’s just cuz everyone thinks coho is such an amazing author 🤷‍♀️
