The Columbus Day Parade returned after the in-person parade was canceled due to the pandemic last year.

Grand Marshal Michael Pascucci, Chairman of Duck Pond Associates, led dozens of marching bands and floats and over 100 marching groups up the Fifth Avenue parade route from 44th Street to 72nd Street.

Maseratis and Lamborghinis revved and roared through Midtown as Italian pride filled the city.

Revelers said the parade made them feel proud to be Italian.

Some even came from Italy to soak it all in. The parade is the world's largest celebration of Columbus Day, with tens of thousands of people visiting the city for the Italian-American heritage celebration.

If Columbus did not exist, the United States would not exist.

“If Spain had not existed four hundred years ago, the United States would not exist today… Because I believe that every young Saxon-American loves justice and admires heroism as much as I do, I have decided to write this book. The reason we have not done justice to the Spanish explorers is simply because we have been misinformed. His story is unparalleled ...

We love bravery, and the exploration of the Americas by the Spaniards was the greatest, the longest and the most wonderful series of feats in history… ”

The Spanish Pioneers. Charles Fletcher Lummis.

What's more...
Spain contributed as decisively or more to their independence from Great Britain. From the beginning, she sent weapons, ammunition, medicine and cloth, as well as financial aid, and provided shelter for her ships. Moreover, while the French participated with 5, 000 men, Spain sent to America more than double, 11, 000 (Spaniards of all races fought for the freedom of the US, of Mexico of Hispanoamerica) although the glory was taken by the Gauls when they were together George Washington in the famous Battle of Yorktown in 1781, in which the British were defeated.

This is Great to see as an Italian American. Everyone having a great time, enjoying great music, classic cars and an all around Beautiful day.
No stabbings, no robberies, , no raping and pillaging.
This is the way a Parade should be all the time.
Take note people, you know who you are!!!

The first people Columbus encountered in the Americas were Indians fleeing other Indians who had enslaved and conquered them, which occured quite often in the New World. The Iroquois treated the Hurons horrifically, the Anasazi were horrendous, and the tribes the Europeans encountered obviously exterminated the Clovis peoples.

He armed the slaves to protect them against their oppressors.

Columbus was tame compared to the Spaniards, the Aztecs had committed mass sacrifice, cannibalism, genocide, and enslavement for decades.

If any governments need to be taken to task it is the British and Spanish, and people need to realize that humans in general were barbaric back then.
