The lady/mom seemed to like the odd sound from the beginning anyway. She always laughed about it, it was cute.

Anyone notice that by the end of the story, the man is wearing a yellow hat in the park?  I find it heart-warming, signifying the man finally accepts that the yellow sound belongs with him.
