I have an old house with asbestos residue on some of the wood floors. It was covered with carpet.
A couple questions
1. How would you encapsulate the asbestos? Would you just pour it in an opaque color and do a thicker coat to self level?
Compared to traditional flooring material, is an epoxy flooring more or less weight?
When the epoxy is absorbed into the wood would it make the wood less flammable? Since my house is old I was told the wood was like “ fat wood, ” meaning it’s highly flammable. I would like to use products that reduce the risk of my house burning up.
Could stairs be epoxied as well?

How do you mix the diamonds with the isopropyl alchohal, or does the product come mixed already ? I always get confused on the Isopropyl with diamonds and Denatured alcohol.

Thanks, I can't seem to source these epoxy materials. I will be applying epoxy over a plywood subfloor. But you've not listed or linked the materials or supplier. This project is in Reno Nevada USA if that matters to you. Thanks again. PS: None of the local suppliers or contractors provide materials for epoxy on wood subfloor (its all for concrete).
