I think it would be cool if they updated the game where you can sell to the crimson fleet without registering

The ship prices are different in different systems so find a system where it is low to register it, usually on the ass end of nowhere(registering is 10% of the current value) then go to a main system where the price is usually higher to sell it.

So there isn't like some shady underground ship traders/market that could take stolen ships, or like a way to scrap ships and sell the parts 💀

If you steal everything from the ships when you steal you get 2 to 12k than register and sell and make another 2 to 4k so its not terrible but time consuming.

I think that after boarding a ship and looting it, if you exit it and destroy it with your canons from your home ship, you get additional loot to pick-up that is worth more than registering and selling the ship. You also do this if the ship is of a higher class than you can afford to pilot because you don't have the skills yet.

So, in order to steal ships, you have to board them. And when you board them, you can loot them, which means you get all the credits and all the stuff from the ships. So, while selling the ships doesn't account for much of a profit, it does at a little icing on the top of the cake at the very end.

Edit: Plus if its a pirate ship, you can loot and sell the black market stuff which accounts for a fair bit of change as well.

I heard there was a trick where if you just entered your main character menu by hitting tab (the menu with you in the middle of a circle ) selected SHIPS, then sold from THERE, the registration fee was much less than selling via ship technician?

what you can do is strip it to a bare minimum needed to fly then sell it. you can end up with another few k. still barely worth it but more fun that way

you can just register ur ship over the ship menu without talking to the guy. It's much cheaper. I usually only pay 1-3k instead of the 10k+.

I wish you could go and sell to the Red Mile since the starport manager said he doesn't care if your ship is registered.

I don't know if this is a thing... I notice you get credits from removing ship parts and deleting them in the build ship menu. Can you remove all the parts and delete them essentially selling the ship? Is this more or less than selling it outright?

I ended up killing 2 pirates and took a ship, but got a bounty on my head and had to remove it. Why ???

They really have funneled everyone into making money the most boring and glitchy ways by limiting other ways to make money. Making ships worth less than weapons and only giving ship vendors 72k is annoying. If a person wants to play as a pirate or bounty hunter, let them. Game dev 101 make fun things rewarding in your game. They only hurt themselves by doing things like that.
