ADF | The Australian Amphibious Force WADER 24

Throughout June 2024 The Australian Amphibious Force conducted Wet and Dry Environmental Rehearsals (WADERs) across the coast of North Queensland, to maintain the AAF certification.

The rehearsals included amphibious raids and assaults upon Cowley Beach Training Area conducted by personnel from HQ Australian Amphibious Force, the Royal Australian Navy’s HMAS Adelaide, as well as a beach landing force comprising of infantry, armoured vehicles, artillery, aviation and logistic elements.

The WADER series will enhance the Australian Amphibious Force and the Royal Australian Navy’s joint operability, and will prepare the Australian Amphibious Force for deployment later this year.
