Man, hand-machining all those components. You're a freakin hero.

Jairus, man, you're breaking my heart! The look on your face at the end :( We've all been there, but you can do this! Keep going! I'm in awe of your dedication to this project :)

Your dedication to this project deserves a huge round of applause and up-votes. You're basically building something that 50 years ahead of it's time and from a fictional world, that's no small feat.

Here's how I see it: The system works and it's just one of the components (overly-stretchy string) letting you down. That's still a win in my book, keep up the great work!

Hey, you could always use Kevlar string, that's what they use in compound bow strings so that they don't stretch! Love the content! Please keep up the great work!

Even though things aren't going as planned, this is one of my favorite projects. Keep up the great work and I'll be looking forward to the next one.

You are a very talented maker. Your thumb driven Allen key tech is top notch. Lol but seriously your skills are supreme and your projects are tough. You’ll never have to worry about someone one upping you. I can’t wait for next video.

You are the most hardworking YouTuber that I'm aware of, please take a BIG vacation when this is done. You've more than earned it!

I have been loving the new "weekly video regardless of progress" format a lot!

Hey bro!! Before you try any major modification, chuck some small pulleys with little bearings in them on the 2 bolts that you wrap the cord around at 9:25, those screws will be creating so much resistance, and I wouldn't be surprised if chucking a tiny bearing lined pulley in there on each would fix this!!

The power drill against the belt sander is the most "if it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid" method I've seen in a long time.

I have faith in the success of this project! That was so great to see them moving after so much work put into this blade!

The amount of time, patience and dedication to this project that I’ve seen over the series so far is just inspiring man like holy cow! Fricking amazing stuff Jairus 😁

This is probably the most impressive engineering and designing I’ve ever scene anyone do alone on YouTube! Everyone else takes shortcuts but you are actually making it as close to the game as possible even though it’s so much harder to work through. You are absolutely amazing. You are actually Tony Stark. Keep it up man, we are all cheering you on! ❤️

This is such a crazy project and the fact that you are trying to keep it so close to detail is insane. You’re doing amazing jairus.

This project is extremely hard, but that's what makes the vids so interesting! I barely have 5% of your maker skills, I'll never be able to even come close to this level of complexity, but I've watched every video with great interest and even learned a couple tricks. Don't give up, it's a good one!
(Plus remember - the vids are used to document the process, so from this point of view, the more process - the better! :)

You are becoming a Master Machinist. your time and efforts are not wasted no matter the outcome of this project, keep making content and I'll keep watching it.
