Re. the Chinese characters remark, no offence intended, guys - I'm half Chinese too. I just meant it made the car look less like a quality product that's designed for global markets, though the rest of the car certainly proves that it is.

I do apologise if anyone finds it offensive, however. Was not my intention at all.

tried an acceleration test just now, got 167kw/224hp. 23 more horsepower than the spec sheet😌🤩.

Air Bag symbol tags has "Chinese Letters" equals to cheapen image? That’s a very controversial perspective, the "Japanese Characters" was the most hated by all Asian countries back in the 40’s, look what has happen now.

Thanks Hafiz for the review. Yes, the power is awesome and overall package good value for a EV relative to competition

At current time the most important is a safe battery that does not overheat and burn fiercely.

Only BYD blade battery meet the mark.

The ability to charge to 100% regularly is a also a plus. Unlike others that only up to 80%

I don't think is necessary to wear mask while presenting. That's just my opinion 😅

I knew about byd when i worked in shenzhen back in seeing their hybrid model which looks like a early 2000 toyota altis knockoff...byd has come a long way....the package being sime darby crazy markups....is actually value for money....looking for to seeing byd seal performance being launched in malaysia

Chinese characters cheapens the car? So japanese words in cheapo products from Daiso will elevates them? Come on!
In fact, I find the original Chinese calligraphy logo placed on the steering wheel looks much better than the ultra big 'BYD' for international markets, which looks like it was put up as an afterthought.

I have been looking for a proper BYD review in Malaysia and am I glad to find one here. Overall great constructive review. But the comments about Chinese language labelled seat belt is racist. If German cars are allowed their German labels, why can't the Chinese?

Thank Hafriz. This is the type of review i have been waiting for.

Managed to test drive the Atto 3 when they came over to JB last week. The missus and the kids (even my maid) love it so much.

I'm still waiting to see regarding the after sales services, the promised software OTAs and phone app support. As for the car itself, excellent to the brim.

If those points are well accounted for, most probably will be getting the Seal sedan. I hate SUVs tbh lol.

I sat in a BYD while in Phnom Penh. Car is super comfy and silent.

Always agree with you advocating safety features should not be inconsistent across variants

Enjoyed your in depth review as usual, Hafriz. Hope Atto 3 will hit the road soon! Nice value for SUV Ev.
However, Hafriz.... as for the tyres, what type of tyres would suit EVs? Especially, for Atto 3?

Thanks for the review. Was hoping more mention on the usability of the lane keep assist and the radar assisted cruise control.

Enjoyed much reading viewers comment on our neighborhood countries. Like Thailand and Indonesia...so much informative.they kept on discussing specs, knowledge sharing and driving experience too...but hardly to find it here...keep on bashing other brand and mostly unrelated..please.
