🔴 #561 New Tektronix Oscilloscope - Tektronix 4 Series MSO or Tektronix 3 Series MDO ?

I have a look at the announcement from Tektronix about their new oscilloscope which is due for release on 4th June 2019.

It appears to be called the Tektronix 4 series MSO Mixed Signal Oscilloscope, so will most likely the MSO44, MSO46 and MSO48 models, its seems to support up to 8 analogue channels going by the teaser video that Tektronix published.

However there is also speculation that it is in fact an MDO34 3 Series MDO Mixed Domain Oscilloscope instead.

HEHE it triggered me too! Let's see, , , , Let me look at this SMD part and I think it's much better that I turn the light around and shine it in my face!! You would think that who ever would have viewed this before it was published would have picked that up?


But yeah it sure would be nice if Tek would put out a scope that would be affordable for use peeps... Well wait a what would I buy fix and use? What would I do with the handful of TDS-520's and TDS-524's??

For me even a cheapo Rigol will outperform my requirement. So it’s down to the interface. Again I think Teks interfaces have been hands down better than any by keysight. It could be personal preference. I wouldn’t have bought my keysight if it didn’t outperform the Tek against the price point., but it did. Still think touch screen on a scope is junk. I like my screen not covered in smu thanks.

Tek doesn't want the competitors to know what they're planning.

@3:11 Marketing person: "WE NEED SOMETHING TECHY ON THE TABLE NOW". Marketing intern send to find something. Nobody never will give something good to marketing intern. So he return with oldest crappiest deadest ASRock motherboard possible, filming continued.. Tektronix marketing CEO glanced on final montage: "WHY THE HOLY F.. WE HAVE ASROCK THING, WE ARE TEKTRONIX". Intern gets 250% of concentrated shit over, and 5 second to resolve issue. So it goes white spray paint, and everybody happy because marketing CEO accept it. Nobody in company who know what is going on will say anything, otherwise he/she will be permanently working with marketing and will be bombarded with questions 24/7/365 and requiring answers immediately. Typical Dilbert company, nothing special. :)
