My absolute favorite part of this version of the scene is how they had Goku space the Kamehameha out, saying it bit by bit while punching Frieza. That made this scene perfect.

People always bring up SS3 or Father Son Kamehameha but this right here is a truly underrated scene. Goku realizes what's at stake and he pushes himself as far as he can possibly go at this point in the series. Frieza is visibly shaken and sweating because Goku was able to survive against him that long.
