Показать описание
In this exercise you will identify what makes a good PowerMesh shape for tracking. We explore the PowerMesh controls and why you may choose one style of mesh over another. Finally, we look at evaluating and refining the results of your mesh.
Specifically we will cover creating a PowerMesh, how to begin evaluating the shot, making a plan for your mesh based on the output you need. We will cover Uniform vs Automatic Mesh generation. We will get in depth with parameters, including unlocking the Secrets of Smoothness. And we will wrap up by tracking the face.

At the end of this, you will be able to start to select the best candidates for tracking using PowerMesh.

Another question. Mary says at 2:08 'we wanna make sure we don't have any occlusions that we can't create a PowerMesh'. An occlusion means an obstruction of something, or stopping something/blocking something/stopping the passage of something. By occlusions are we talking about the shadows in the ears, that would change, causing the texture to change hence screwing up the Power Mesh?

Another question, whya re they problem points at 7:00 ? Is that because those points are so close the respective plane they create (or the sub-plane they have) is so small that no motion tracking would result?

Also, at 2:14, Mary says 'We also wanna make sure that our lighting change is not so harsh taht the lighting itself becomes an occlusion'. One of the definitions of the word 'occlusion' is obstruction. So is Mary saying that the lighting is so harsh, and so the shadows are so harsh - and are hence moving so much in the texture., that the lighting itseelf is an obstruction for us to be able to create a PowerMesh over something. Is this the right thought process?

Interesting that the outside sub-plans could anchor the texture? I thought per the user manual, the sub-planes that lie outside the spline are ignored for tracking, and only move/orient themselves in relation to the subplanes that are inside the spline. Please help? Because Mary says in the video that these additional sub-planes that are outside the spline anchor the texture. To anchor is to secure something or hold it in place. I am not sure how these outer sub-planes would ensure the texture/plane is anchored.
