I feel you man, bought my first bitcoin in 2013 as well and sold all in 2016 for a meager profit. Believed it would go over 100k last cycle, didn't by enough when it hit 23k this cycle. Anyway, bitcoin did send me on the path to freedom so I keep following that path.

I agree Bitcoin and Ethereum are 75 percent of my portfolio and I learned the hard way back in 2018 that there is little stress when you hold assets that have real value and long term staying power.

I bought a BTC in 2013 for $800. Watched the price collapse to $200 and didn't sell! I never sold it. Great right? Well, in spring 2022 I decided to make an interest rate on my investment and got it taken by ugh.

One issue - Alt Coins pump, AFTER BTC tops out... So if you start selling your Alts while BTC is still climbing, then you are not going to capitalise on the full potential of the parabolic phase of Alts... Rather, one needs to hold Alts, until BTC tops and starts to fall or consolidate... That's when one can start to take big profits in Alts... And one shouldn't be selling Alts and buying BTC.... You want to buy BTC in the BEAR MARKET. Should hold profits in USDT and wait for the Bear Market.

I remember like it was yesterday when BTC was at its top of last cycle in november 2021 and everybody was dead sure it would have gone up to 100k. When everybody are so sure, market screws you. Can't time the market, just hodl. Still have a bag of alts since last cycle and they are all going into btc soon, very nice to create a strategy to do so.

I did the same as you lol. Didn’t know what Bitcoin was but somehow bought 4 bitcoin in 2015. Then I kinda forgot about it. Then after the 2017 runup, I remembered it and when it dropped, I was like “what even is this coinbit stuff” and sold it for help with a down payment on a house for super cheap. Oops lol. I didn’t understand what it was.

You make no mention of liquidity cycles, interest rates coming down in US election year as macro drivers that are just as important as the etf launches.
A big year coming and I like many hopefully won't sit through another dump.
