Seems like an alarming small portfolio if he is all in. Assuming he bought at $5 a coin this is less than $20, 000 for his whole poetfolio. I would if assumed someone who has been making making monet in crypto for 10 years.

Hi Jerry, what would you reply to the arguments mntioned by the House of crypto' video on ICP (who recommends not going over 10% of portfolio with ICP) arguing that ICP now with 5 billion marketcap earns only 150 usd a day from fees (why so low?), large venture companies invested in its startup, only 100 people working on it and finally you could arguably have better returns if just selling it during bull run and rebuying again in bear market without proncipal being freezed indefinitely? Could you show on a spreadsheet how you did your calculations that staking gives you a better return? All best

Yeah that strategy is for the lazy not the smart. It’s not necessarily a dumb idea but if you got more than 3000 ICP you can at least use 1000 to try to sell at a strong profitable position (does not have to be the top) and then buy back in at $50 or lower(?) Relying on these rewards which is not guaranteed in terms of rate or percentage is risky. This is like the scary man’s guide to crypto. Jerry took so many losses in the past making bad decisions he’s justifying his strategy solely based on it’s not what I did last time so it must work.

This is assuming that there will be no new tax law that makes you pay taxes on rewards and then your taxed on your sell. Taxes are unavoidable if you make money your taxed… I do agree short term gains are crazy high but it’s still only if your profitable… you only pay taxes if you made money.

What I learned in the last bull run is to NEVER STAKE YOUR TOKENS. Think about it. You’re staking for 16% a year? That’s peanuts in crypto. Look at all the people who had a 21 day lock up in Luna and couldn’t sell when it exploded. Bad advice IMO.
