Fun fact, crows are part of an extremely intelligent family of birds called corvids. They can recognize faces and are capable of holding grudges against people who mistreat them. They can also teach their offspring about the people they dont like so there have legitimately been generational crow fueds against some people. Don't mess with the corvids, they're smart enough to do something about it

Crows are extremely smart they can remember things up to 2 years or more they can teach their newly hatched chicks when known bad people or mean people go by as well as when known treatgivers go by and if you give them a puzzle in order to get food through they can do up to 8 to 10 basically chest moves ahead so if you rig up a puzzle box with food at the end of the reward they can get that food by going through the puzzle. Also they are known to make their own tools.

One time a kid in my neighborhood accidentally hurt a crow. The crow made the kids life miserable until the family moved away. Another time, a crow couple made a nest on my parent’s bedroom window. My dad became a surrogate parent to the crow babies that were born. The female crow had a bond with my dad but the male one was a bit vary. The crow couple had 2 sets of babies over 2 seasons. The third season the female crow looked haggard so my dad tried to nurse it but she died. The babies come and visit dad every few months. He knows whose babies they are and they see him as their surrogate parent. And crows are known for visiting their parents/families! 😊
