I genuinely think that V has something divine in the ingredients,

I like to think that its radioactive and has a mutating effect simmilar to the X-gene in human evolution that was spurred on by natural environmental or cosmic radiation from space or the sun or whatever, professor X referred to mutants as "children of the atom". except with V it's an obviously artificial and sped up process that is massively unstable. Because when you look at Supes, they're really no different than mutants except they're born with their abilities. Some mutants are just as disfigured and gross as supes.
