It’s about to get downright diabolical. Seasons 1-3 of The Boys are now streaming on Prime Video.

About The Boys: THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing.

Colby Minifie, who plays Ashley, really deserves a ton of credit. Her constant breakdown is one of the many great highlights of the show.

The interesting thing about The Seven is that whilst most of them are just awful people, they're all miserable. They clearly don't like being superheroes. So it's no wonder this revelation broke some of them, they weren't destined to be superhumans, they could've been normal. It makes even the worst people more sympathetic.

frenchie and MM congratulating hughie on this was my favorite scene in the entire show. it reminded me of the value of all the little victories we have against a cruel and indifferent universe

I think what we misunderstand about the Deep is that imagine walking by the pet stores, every restaurant, every zoo or aquarium or just swimming in the water - and you hear the other living things. Begging, crying, pleading to not be cut or eaten, to be let out to freedom. You would get traumatized so easily

The sad thing is that most supes like Starlight, the Deep, Black Noir & other supes they've been lied by their parents. Having a normal life like everybody else was an option.

The scene with Black Noir makes so much more sense now, he just realised that his parents are the reason he had his skull smashed in and face burnt off, making him functionally mute, and it was just for money

This is the one scene where the Deep is shown to be truly traumatized without having any goofy or silly undertones. He's just vulnerable, and I do kind of feel bad despite all the horrible things he's done.

every hero is realizing that their parents cared about money more than their own children

I wish these writers would have been in charge of Paramount’s Halo series. They made the whole parent/company theme so well.

I love Stan's "we're investigating" he's the head of the company and he's acting clueless. It's so realistic too.

-Starlight blackmailed stillwell into letting her be a hero in her own terms
-Starlight leaked the news about compound V with hughie's help
-Starlight leaked info of stormfront's past that revealed Nazis were involved with compound v since before Vought was founded.
-Starlight took down stormfront thanks to maeve and kimikos help
-Starlight blackmailed homelander to stop him from murdering people
-Starlight revealed the truth about supes being phoneys
-Starlight and the boys took down soldier boy

I cant wait to see how she reacts after everything above wasnt enough to stop vought or homelander.

Everyone talking about how bad they feel for the Deep despite his actions and yet, no one forced him to be piece of garbage, trauma or not. All that money, all that fame, all that influence and I don't think I ever once saw him try to wholesomely fund an Animal Rescue, Marine Biology Ceneter, or kicking Pocher butts...

Even though A-Train and Deep aren't good guys, scenes like this remind us that they are human beings with vulnerabilities and baggage. A-Train's comment about money and its importance hits many of us hard.

I think Deep is a good character to remind us that some of these characters aren't just bad people, they're just insanely messed up individuals. As bad as it is you can make it make sense why they are how they are.

2:10 this is why i love this show, you see atrain is not just a dummy side character with evil intention, he has his own philosophy which is sometimes justified.

No matter what happens in the series. Stan Edgar, a mere "pathetic" human keeps being the most badass character. Evil, indeed, a corporate monster. But badass

i found it really interesting the concept A-Train proposed about people who grew up with money being the ones to say there are more important things. was kind of bummed they didn't build on this further in the show
