Reminds me of D-Day, the cooks served the best that they could to soldiers who were going to be deployed at Normandy. Most of it remained untouched and the same cooks were sewing the body bags when the bodies came. War is horrible.

We sometimes got lobster on halfway night (halfway through the deployment) on submarines. It was always something special to commemorate the occasion and lift spirits.

When i was in iraq in 07, fridays were steak and seafood day. Crab legs, all kinds of shrimp, and lobster. All you can eat and there would be more along with breakfast stuff at midnight chow. The best chow.
