We're well into the 2024 Annapolis Boat Show at the moment, and one of the benefits this year, is the new Max Cruise 48 is being featured in the show! Make sure to take a look at it if you're visiting.

A benefit for us is we were able to hop on board earlier this week to bring it from its staging location to the show. This gave us a great opportunity to poke around, and we have been incredibly impressed with what we've seen.

Max Cruise did a fantastic job on the layout and finish of their 48, and we're very jealous that it is not ours!! Plus there is one feature in the owner's cabin which people can not stop commenting on.

Unfortunately the winds were too light for us to do much sailing as we brought the boat up the Chesapeake Bay, but we do have hopes of getting aboard again the future to see what she can do.

We all lucked out with beautiful weather in our town for this show here in Annapolis. Funny, I'm a powerboater but only watch sailboat video's on Youtube. Keep up the hard work and can't wait to see the finished product. Are you sick of faring yet? 😁

A few very smart additions. Could you not install those super popular & important front opening windows? A front sunken cockpit would serve you well also, but a pretty big renovation as an after-thought.

Nice and quiet leaving the dock at slow speed sitting at the front of the boat but holy-crap when you were in the cockpit and inside was that ever loud.

so not convinced by the whole forward cockpit idea then I sail up in the northern parts of Europe where hiding from cold rain is a big part of sailing

Matt as for the steering, dont use aluminum for your components under the deck, it just rots away. Go get 316 ss laser cut and welded....

Electric motors, not engines. Engines burn fuel to make energy, motors convert energy from one form to another, in your case from electricity to mechanical power.

That steering system is not strong enough. Just seen a similar system being upgraded on a similar size cat. it needs double plates going out so it doesn't bend and cause stress cracks in metal and in fiberglass. Oversize your steering components and you will not have break downs in heavy seas.

I tried to spice things up with some role play. My partner came in dressed as a handyman. I was expecting a quick fix, but he ended up redecorating the entire bedroom🍒
