From what I can understand Hinokami becomes insanely powerful basically a god after some insane conflict (whether it’s a war or battle), he becomes the Leader of the village, his lover/wife dies from some illness, he grieves and becomes a drunk, and Hinomaki (his “other self”) helps him cope
