Little tip for 3d printing: save your parts as a STEP file instead of an STL. Your round edges will be more or less perfectly round instead of polygonal and your fitments/tolerances will be much better - not to mention a cleaner look!

I'm currently working on a project to resurrect a cold-war era 12.8m satellite dish. We've replaced the original very-large DC servo motors (30HP per axis!!!) with some much-smaller modern software-controllable servos and some "'prefix" gearboxes. Initial testing has been encouraging....

You should use compressed air to fire the giant nerf darts. It may not be as safe but it would be a lot more fun and it should also give you a lot more range.

If you want to sail it from inside, you'll need to cut the windows on the Bridge Deck (usually at the top of the Main Tower) to see where you're going.

The following steps outline how to calculate the Hydrofoil Lift.

First, determine the coefficient of lift.
Next, determine the hydrofoil velocity (m/s).
Next, determine the hydrofoil wing area (m^2).
Next, gather the formula from above = HL = CL * (997*V^2/2) * A.
Finally, calculate the Hydrofoil Lift.
