i’m moving out to start my first year of getting my BFA in illustration and i just want to say, your videos have given me so much motivation and inspiration after not having any for so long, and i’ve really branched out from my normal mediums since watching you. keep up the awesome work- can’t wait to see what you create next !

Everything changed when I started using markers as a base for my color and colored pencils for my shading. It’s a great combination!

I loved how you changed the outfit from blue to pink, to pink with a blue layer on top - the subtle details matter 👌

Oh that's beautiful!
I absolutely love using different mediums for a piece, watercolor as a color base, Gouache to deepen the colors and colored pencil for extra fine details and texture!
Art should always be free 🤗

♡♡ that you share your experimentation.
My heart hurt at hearing the news that Dame Olivia Newton-John died...
I found myself singing her music.
I love that you did an honourarium art work.

It’s a lovely drawling/painting of Olivia, Scott. Her beautiful bubbly self really came through..very magical.
I like to mix the medias I use up as well. Some things bring out the others much more and give it depth and more..enthusiasm? lol ..it looks like I had a lot more feelings involved to me when I layer and accentuate.

This looks absolutely amazing. I love seeing multiple media styles put together. I don't believe that just because you are really good at a certain style you should only use that one style. I say a true artist can do anything they set their mind to. Step outside the box and see where your talent takes you. Oliva would have been so proud of this one ♥️💯

Edit: Okay I have no idea why you guys are fighting about my grammar. It was a harmless joke. 😂🤣 Though thanks for telling me. I changed it.

I know a few artists who mix, totally recommend it, it looks so amazing afterwards and there are less limits on things you could do

I adore mixed media art, it’s always some of my favorite. There’s no better feeling than watching your favorite mediums become one cohesive art form. The experimentation when it comes to layering, blending, the overall process just becomes so much more free because you aren’t bound by the expectations of what the medium is supposed to look like and how it’s meant to work.

I have so much admiration for those who can stick to one medium and fully master it, without even the thought of trying something new. It’s both easier and more challenging, because you’ve been with it so long that it comes naturally but you’ve also grown to expect a certain level of quality from your work, and that feeling only grows the more you learn. Truly, so much love to all you one medium artists out there.
