I see many Protestants infiltrate the Orthodox Ethos with their heresy. They seem to be obsessed with Orthodoxy. Why not humble yourself and see the truth of Orthodoxy? Personally, I have ZERO desire to listen the Protestant theology. The enemy will not stop. Hold the truth of Orthodoxy. Pray for strength from God, Panagia and the Saints. Myself, first.

Found you 2 weeks ago. Have been studying Father's of Orthodoxy, praying Jesus Prayer and hoping to find way to be Orthodox. Do not drive. Live 20 miles from town and was walking for necessities. Been Hermit 46 years. But vows are with Catholic church. Left them few years ago because heresies. Asking for prayers

The cure for combating heresy is to know the Word of God for yourself.

The first part of Psalms 1:1 provides the solution, which is negative. It's rather simple. The faithful down through the ages have provided a VERY clear example of precisely how to handle such a situation.

Dear Father Peter or the Team there at OE; Bill Tavis statement below boldly claiming his salvation brings up a great struggle for me personally. I get no sense that I can claim I am saved. Not that my salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ hasn't been accomplished but that I have not accomplished my salvation. But then I wonder why I think this? Is this simply my ongoing pride and a lack of belief, faith and trust??? I spent some time with a protestant last year via work and she also went on about once saved always saved... and was frustrated by my unwillingness or inability really to agree with her. I would soberly reply I am with God and God is working with me. I simply could not claim I was saved'. I still can not make that claim. I have great fear at my own history at sin and repenting. Especially being of service to others who I love. Desiring salvation of course and loving God but having to face reality in my history and knowing how much there is to repent for. I am really not that great inside yet!

I felt a great calm on this and would upset this protestant friend so greatly. But I could not betray my love for God so I would just continue to feel calm about looking to Him about it and still do.

Can we as Orthodox Children state as many protestants that we are saved? It is a bit disorienting in considering to make such a claim because on one hand of course Christ saved us all but for my part I cannot see how it can be finished on my side.

For me it continues to grow as a fact of life in returning to God that my salvation is in repenting and forgiving and being forgiven and that is my life now until I meet God when His work is done for all. Does this sound right?

First and foremost, pray to God for guidance to help discern the truth and not fall into temptation and heresy. Another way is to follow the example of the Holy Fathers of the Seven Ecumenical Councils who, by the guidance of the Holy Spirit fought against the heresies that plagued the church and ask for their prayers and intercessions to help in your struggle against the heresies and the root of all heresies the sin of pride.

Well I noticed there's a difference between East Europe and Western nations like the USA ect. East Europe would have him thrown out into the streets by the Orthodox community and or Orthodox Political Parties.

USA they just tolerate or they pray and hope for a council to decide the fate of the Clergyman in a Ecclesiastical Court hearing.

Is it true that ENTIRE Eastern Orthodox Church has fallen into heresy since 2016 Synod in Crete ?? Many now are 'walling off''? What are your thoughts regarding this ' Αποτείχιση ' = Apotixisi is required, in cases of heretical-thinking bishops so that the one who thinks and preaches heretical is cut off from the Body of Christ, while the one who de-walls remains integrated through true faith in the Church. Would like to hear your thoughts?

Speaking of heresies. It is very revealing that the speaker does not even mention Ecumenism, the heresy of heresies, with its modernist innovation, the uncanonical "New Calendar." But he considers the Saints and the Martyrs that gave their lives for Christ during 19th centuries as heretics! Very revealing to whom he serves!
