Ours is a GE Washer and it would only fill with water part way, no matter what water level we chose on the controls. This turned out to be the problem. The Washer Water Inlet Valve Filter Screen on the cold side was almost totally clogged. Carefully removed it. Put it under running water in the sink and cleaned it with an old toothbrush. It cleaned up quickly. Reinstalled it. Checked the hot water one as well but it seemed okay. Now the water level in our washing machine is fully adjustable, just like when it was new! Thank you so much for the heads up on what was causing our problem. It had been getting worse and worse. Now it is like having a new washing machine! By the way, these are quite fragile and seem like they can be easily broken when removing them. Replacements can be purchased on A.m.a.z.o.n.

Thought sure had to replace the water fill valve however after Your CLEAR Instructions on Re-calibration, our machine is back on task. Thanks, Bunches!
