You sir are a life saver, my external drive with my games on it went on the fritz from all the moving it about. So I bit the bullet and bought a 1tb SSD, just put it inside my PS4 and followed your instructions, everything worked fine with the back up and restore, just downloading the games I lost now, no more external drives for me. Thanks again!

Very nicely done. Pace was perfect, giving me plenty of time to pause the video at each critical point. Super clear and understandable. Not some jerky, hand held video done by a noob YouTuber. Thanks a bunch‼️

I plan on servicing my PS4 real soon since warranty sticker is non-existent at this point 😂… dust out the internals, fan, replace the thermal paste… and upgrade the storage to 2TB! Thanks for this video!

Your video is the first one I've seen that mentioned that the new drive needs to be formated in exfat or fat32 before it's installed into the PS4. Kudos to you!

Just followed this guide and it worked perfectly. And btw, you don’t need two usb drives for this. The backup and os can be downloaded to the same drive.

I just did this using this video as a guide. It went perfectly. Thank you. Might want to mention with the new system you should know your model number before selecting which reload software you need. Thanks again!

Confirmed. Just updated a Ps4 I got for $50 to play Division 2 with friends. PS5 is on hold. Waiting for PS6 next year. Don't see the point in buying a PS5 at this point. Great tutorial. Thank you...

Thanks a lot for the good tutorial. Previously I tried to clone my HDD with AOMEI partition assistant, but that attempt failed. The solution with backup and restore worked fine, uses the capacity of the new drive and was even faster than cloning. And the PS4 still behaves same as before...

Wouldn’t it be easier just to remove the hdd and put it in an enclosure and put in the new ssd and transfer the data back from the oem hdd?

Good information and demonstration. Thank you. SSDs are a game changer for speed. It's great that SSD prices are so reasonable.

Hey do I need to clean thumbdrive for the ps4 reinstallation file? Or I can use the same USB that the one I used to backup the files.

Would an SSD upgrade make the same difference for physical games? I’ve read that it makes a much bigger difference with digital games only?

All of the game data on my current PS4 corrupted and redownloading the game does not fix the problem would replacing the HDD fix that issue?
