Contractor Destroys Recently Remodeled Bathroom || ViralHog

"At 9:33 am I saw a white pick-up pull up in front of my neighbors home. I texted her to see if she was expecting anyone, she was not. At 9:35 am, my neighbor's roommate called me and sounded to be in a state of alarm and asked me to come over to the house. The contractors were in the house and starting to dismantle the showerhead from the bathroom wall. From approximately 9:37 am to 9:38 am I tried to reason with the man in the video asking him to leave the property and step outside. They were intent on 'taking back their property.' At 9:38 am, I started recording the man in the video taking a sledgehammer to the recently remodeled bathroom."

Let this be a warning to anybody that thinks they can get home renovations done without paying for it. People have families to support.

She refused to pay the guy the majority of the bill because she said she wasn’t sure if she was happy with it yet. It’s done. Go in, look around, turn the faucets on and off, flush the toilet, take a shower. There’s no reason the bill can’t be paid. She simply thought she could do this and he would not have any way to retaliate. Wrong!

100% agree with contractor! If you're too slum to pay for the work you shouldn't be able to enjoy it!

Always, always, always have a written contract. Even if the work is isn't up to par, that should be an item in the contract. That contract is the evidence needed to take to court. I've remodeled so many rooms in my house this past year, always had a contract, and resolved any disputes via the contract. Plus, do your research before hiring! Don't just take for granted that someone can do what you need. Get reviews from previous customers. So many reasons this did not have to happen.
