Honestly speaking, I do not think; The ideas of Confucius, be it of Character or persistent learning, can make a person or nation able to achieve his or its goals. Speaking out of personal experience, I have acted on these two ideas through out of life, Yet I failed miserably because the contemporary world has its own dynamics. Hence, if one acts upon the old philosophies or ideas of past. Which do not have any relevancy to the present time. He will not be able to achieve the desire goals. Nonetheless, One should only try to have good character and continuous learning according to the requirement of the time and situation.
