The fact that if you search up Rasputin on google you find that he looks exactly the same as he does here, and the way he died in the movie was how he really died irl is just amazing. So, on the subject of Alexei, he had hemophilia which meant he tended to bruise easily and bleed profusely when hurt. Rasputin actually had a good track record with these attacks, not through any magical powers but by calming Alexandria, which in turn would help Alexei stay calm but also telling her not to let the doctors give him aspirin. Yes, that's right, the doctors were giving a hemophiliac a blood thinner. It's one of those weird instances where the right advice was given but without understanding why it was working.
