I’m the same when it comes to reading slumps. I rather not read a book I believe will become my favourite because it seems like I’m in such a negative space and I’m worried that it’ll affect my reading.

I totally get your hesitation when reading a much anticipated book when in a slump. You know you won't be able to appreciate the way it should be.
