I never, ever thought I would be able to draw pencil thin lines. Always thought you needed a VERY expensive airbrush to achieve that. After months of trying and failing it just clicked one day and they started coming out really thin. This video makes me wanna practice their techniques cause there is always a new way to do something.

I was told it really don’t matter what brush you’re using it’s the artist that makes the difference and that makes sense.

Thank you so much for this video. I'm fairly new to the airbrush. Mixes and air pressure relationships are still a little of a mystery to me. This cleared a lot of that up. Can't wait to give these processes a go.

Thanks man! I build scale model cars and airbrush them as well as airbrushing custom shirts and hats. I wanted to finish my scale models with some custom line work and details.

Always appreciate your videos, sir! When I first picked up an airbrush a couple of years ago, your vids are what kept me painting. Thanks for doing what you do!

I've been watching all your videos, as well as from others, trying to find a new airbrush to get started back. I've played with airbrushing before, using a Badger Crescendo 175, but I'm not a huge fan of the siphon feed. After numerous reviews, from yourself and others, the GSI Creos PS 289 seems to be the best fit for both my budget and skill level. Thank you!!

Another excellent tutorial from Airbrush Asylum!👍

I noticed that on my Harder Steenbeck, when removing the last nozzle (needle protector?), it was easier to get the color on my models.

Also, get a cleaning kit for the airbrush - it really does help a lot. Other good brands are Vallejo, Ammo Mig Jimenez. I think even Tamiya has good airbrushes.
Make sure to get a compressor with an airtank - you will thank me later.

If you are into modelling, a spray booth is also something good. When using color, read the contents before use - sometimes you need a respirator so you don't inhale toxic and/or dangerous fumes.

Also some colors require thinning, some base coates do not. It all depends on maker. I mainly use Ammo by Mig Jimmenez, non toxic, easy to use colors (Gundam painter).

What does the adjuster under the paint pot do

So the Createx Co. recommends no more than 20% reduction. Will reducing that 1:1 affect durability of the paint film? Or should I just follow their recommendations? Thank you

Lacquer paint also sprays and dries differently then water based paints in my opinion when airbrushing.
