Do you ever treat before the nectar flow, and does apivar slow down the queen laying eggs

I have a hive that I recently requeened. It doesn’t have much of a brood nest at the moment, should I wait until the new queen has time to build it up to put in the apivar?

Here in central Arkansas the temps are still in the high 90s. At the beginning of August . Would apivar still be save to use?

I also have supers on but was planning on feeding that back to the bees since this is my first year. Would it be ok to leave this on for that situation?

On their website they say use chemical resistant gloves because touching them with your bare skin can be fatal in other words they can kill you. The biggest beekeeping supplier in England Thornes YouTube video showing how to use the strips and put them in the Hive and they're wearing no gloves. I like using the strips they work really well but I've had Queen's disappear days after putting them in.
