Emotional moment. Bret was 42 when the injury occurred and could've easily wrestled at the top for 5 more years and perhaps longer.

I hope Bret finds peace one day. People get way to happy to see an old man filled with bitterness and regret when all it's doing is causing Bret misery.

Let go of the past. It does nothing but poison the present and future.

Look at Kane/Glenn Jacobs. A pure freak of nature. Barely got injured in his career. Even as Mayor he could still come back and perform at the highest levels. Dudes just built different. My man's got mass for days and thick ass bones

You can still see the bitterness but I can understand where he is coming from. His career could have gone longer if not for those injury.

Bill in essence is Frankenstein's monster. He himself on a personal level, is a good guy. Yet others in the industry made him into a monster. And under experienced, dangerous individual in the ring that was in severe desperation of more training.

At the end of the day, it was much more the fault of his creators then it was of him, but he is still the one that kicked Bret in the head.

It's a hard thing to put in the words, so I don't fault Bret in how he explains the situation

I love how he blames Goldberg yet that’s not even his last match. He wrestled after this too.

It is well documented that he had multiple matches AFTER the accidental kick, some hardcore matches with charishots to his head FFS. I grow tired of Hart putting it all on Bill, especially how often and sincere Goldberg has apologized...which is much more than Owen EVER did for Austin after almost paralyizing him for life and absolutely cutting his career way short. Funny how so many have no problem continuously crapping all over one (the one who was still very new to the business and was immediately and constantly apologetic about it), and say nothing about the other (the one who was in the business for decades, and did not seem to have any remorse). Yeah, I get Owen passed tragically, but this hypocrisy is still not right.
Goldberg is a good man, and deserves better.

Damn.
That was an absolute nail bomb of a statement.

Bret will always just speak his mind.

Noticed that marks like to call Brett better but they never call him a liar.

Bret Hart's gravestone:

The best there is
The best there was
And the best there ever will be...

... and fuck Goldberg.

Bret's brother Owen also nearly paralyzed and shortened the career of Steve Austin(never visited him in the hospital either). He was a very good worker. Things happen in the ring sometimes Brett.

Ah yes... The kick that ended Bret Hart's Career...

Even though it didn't end Bret Hart's Career and he continued Wrestling after that, taking chair shots to the head and making the injury worse and worse until the injury got so bad it did force him to retire.

But we always ignore that part because "Goldberg bad"

This is supposed to be a man who was the “greatest technical wrestler”, got trained in some dungeon, and couldn’t dodge a kick. 🤣😂

Stone Cold could make the same argument about Owen. I wonder if Bret realizes that. It might help him move past what was really just an accident.

Straight up, bret always was the guy to say it 😎👌

I just hope I never end up like Bret. I mean the dude knew the risks of the business. He made millions during his career and he still complains.

Bitter AF. People get injured accidentally all the time in Wrestling. And the man took clean head shots in a hardcore match vs Terry Funk weeks later & still puts it all on Goldberg 🤦🏽‍♂️

I like bret. I enjoy his work and I can understand being upset about what happened, but there's no way you should dismiss someone's entire career over one mistake. I mean even the top tier wrestlers have done similar. No disrespect to the dead, but his own brother broke stone cold's neck. That shouldn't tarnish the rest of his work because of one mistake. Just feels hypocritical of him.

his brother nearly kills austin and cuts his career way off, but he never says anything about that, considering his brother didnt really care that he nearly killed a man, goldberg everytime it comes up says hes sorry for what happened
