Because It's an insecurity that we have. Not a symbol of pride. I don't like being fat but at the same time no matter how hard I try I never get to be skinny again like I was back in 3rd grade. I'm 14 and just don't have the willpower to go through the struggle because after 4 months of working out I never got back to being skinny. I know I should have done more but my brain tells me my past experiences about why it thinks it doesn't work.
