And that's not one of those affiliate links, I'm too lazy and computer illiterate to understand how to do that.

There is a rumour that Rasputin's son did indeed survive long enough to have a son of his own named Vladimir, who dropped that ridiculous "Ras" part of his surname.

Rasputin never died.

He just took ‘Ras’ out of his name.

Ra ra Rasputin, lover of the Russian queen? There is a name that really is gone.

Him being known as Gregori Efenovich has nothing to do with his last name being "considered a burden". It's very common to call Russians by their first name and patronymic.

Rasputin is still alive and today he works as the president of the Russian federation after a name change

To quote Nikolai,

“Who are you, Rasputin? Stay dead this time!”

Next you should either make "Are There Any Lenins Left?" or "Are There Any Mussolinis Left?"

In Russian, the letter 'o' is very often pronounced 'a', especially when it's the first vowel of the word. So it's no surprise that Rosputin turned into Rasputin because that's very likely how it was always pronounced

That smooth rendition of Rasputin at the beginning tho...

Surely you know that Efimovich was his patronymic, and that all Russians have them, even if their father's name is not typically Russian. An example would be the author Valentin Arnoldevich Tomberg.

Who would ever thunk that one of the daughters of Rasputin would live out her life in California !

"...Is taught in classes throughout the world."
As an American, I can say we don't even mumble the word "Russia" in school. All about 'Murica, you know?

Fun fact: The word "Ras" sounds similar to "Raz", which is the spelling for "One". If you split the name "Rasputin" into "Ras" and "Putin", you could likely call "Rasputin" as "One Putin"

Could you do a video like this about the Romanov Tsar dynasty? They were executed in 1918 after being exiled (as most of you know). But what some don't know is that a lot of the Romanov's extended family fled to Crimea. Are there any descendants of the Romanov alive today? Being a relative of the dynasty that ruled Russia for 300 years should be pretty cool.
