Dr. Ugo A. Perego received a BS and a MS in Health Sciences from Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah) and a PhD in Genetics and Biomolecular Sciences from the University of Pavia (Pavia, Italy) under the mentorship of population geneticist Antonio Torroni. During the past 25 years, he has given more than 200 lectures and published several articles and books on DNA topics relating to population migrations, ancestry, forensics, and history.

Currently, Dr. Perego teaches science at the Southeastern Community College in Burlington, Iowa and lives in Nauvoo, Illinois with his family.
