Id love to have cat eyes. Being able to see in the dead of night would be awesome. Another thing I'd love is having conscious control of our iris. I hate walking from inside to out side and have the blinding Sun make me squint, and waiting for my iris' to contract is slow.

I learned a lot very quickly from this video about the advantages of different pupil shapes, and it was nicely presented. One edit: At 2:11 substitute "animals" for "predators." I now feel more warmly about the pupil shape in cat eyes, and I better understand why humans have round pupils.

Very interesting video! And I hate to be that "I noticed something wrong guy" but I figured an annotation on the video to fix this might be nice. And I only saw one other comment mention this Around 2:13 you say that animals with horizontal pupils are predators, which I'm guessing was just a typo or a slip of the tongue. I think they have horizontal pupils and eyes on the sides of their head to AVOID predators. :P

Goat pupils are weirder... I love cat eyes, though. I've admired my cats eyes several times in broad daylight when the pupils are contracted. The color in his eyes looks like a sea of molten gold, I love them <3

My favorite pupils are in the eyes of the mantis shrimp. Those eyes can see more than any other creature on the planet. I wonder why it's a deep sea creature with skills like that.
